Abb-d has been talking about Thundercat’s debut album for AGES, while I have been quietly waiting for it rear its fusion-influenced head. It’s due for release next week but it has just been made available for streaming. You can check it out below, and I suggest you do.

We have been up and running for a few months and now its been fun highlighting our favourite great creative bits and pieces. But it’s about time we start bringing you some projects/content of our own. First out the gates will be a series of mixes by a few great artists and friends of the blog.

Recently there have been a few internet stations and podcasts have started to woo me back to idea of listening to people talk over music I want to hear. Space Invader Radio, Rinse FM (now a legal fm station) and Hold Box Flat come to mind. The real turning point has had to of been launch of NTS Radio.

If you have built up a good list of music blogs, and twitter accounts that can always point you towards good music you’ll also know sometimes there is almost too much out that is dying for your attention. I think you would be wise to listen to this genuinely great mix from our friend Orsii first. Ignore all the “amazing” new mixes that have appeared in the last 20 minutes and spend some time checking out the music here because I guarantee that you won’t hear a similar selection elsewhere. For example, check out this Ghanian funk selection.
