Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is a Cold War Espionage Thriller that follows George Smiley (Gary Oldman), an experienced and reserved gentleman spy, who is charged with discovering a mole who has reached the very top of MI6. The film follows him as he investigates each of the main suspects, whose codenames form the title, and follows the information leaks in order to discover the traitor. It’s a bold thriller that relies on the danger inherent in the situation rather than hostages or bomb countdowns.
